Housing Access Peterborough (HAP) is the coordinated access program for subsidized (rent geared to income) housing in Peterborough County. You can pick up an application form at the Housing Access Peterborough office, the Housing Resource Centre, or from any of the housing providers listed below.
When you apply, HAP will add you to the waiting list for participating local providers. Your place on the waiting list is based on the date HAP receives your application. Wait times for subsidized housing range 1 – 5 years depending on the unit size and length of the waiting list, with longer waits for singles under age 60. Applicants who are victims of abuse may get special priority. Make sure you call HAP if your contact information changes, or you may lose your place on the waiting list.
