The Housing Resource Centre is a program of Community Counselling and Resource Centre. To learn more about CCRC and its programs, visit the agency website at www.ccrc-ptbo.com. It is the vision of the Housing Resource Centre "that every person in Peterborough City and County lives free of poverty with secure housing and access to community resources"

Hours: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed for lunch 12:30 – 1:30
Appointments are sometimes needed for some services. We are closed on holidays and sometimes we close for meetings. Also, for some services you will have to bring documents. It is always a good idea to call us before coming to the office!


Services Provided by The Housing Resource Centre

  • Free vacancy listings for available rental housing in Peterborough City and County. Landlords advertise their listings with us for rooms, shared accommodations, apartments, townhouses and houses.

  • Housing support staff can help to find or keep suitable housing, provide information on landlord and tenant rights and information on income support programs.

  • Housing emergency funds to help low income residents obtain or retain housing and related services.

Donations: Emergency Assistance Fund For the Prevention of Homelessness

The Emergency Assistance Fund for the Prevention of Homelessness, a program managed by the Housing Resource Centre, provides one-time financial grants to help low income people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to find or keep their housing. The fund is supported by charitable donations from individuals and organizations. If you would like to donate to the Emergency Assistance Fund, donations should be made payable to:
